Our take

The sidewalk is damp under a streetlamp that hums with a faint electric buzz. A half-peeled grapefruit sits on a concrete ledge beside a bowl of chopped rhubarb, the pink pepper scattered across the fruit like confetti. Someone nearby is crushing fresh cannabis leaves, and that green, slightly sour air wraps around the citrus. It is a sharp, restless opening that feels like a late walk through a city that refuses to sleep.

Steam rises from a cup of tea held in a gloved hand, the vapor carrying the scent of rice and orange blossom. The floral aspect is not bright or bridal. It feels heavy, like a white petal stuck to a damp sleeve. The tea adds a dry, herbal bitterness that pulls the orange blossom away from a standard floral path, grounding the air in something earthy and warm.

Ambroxan and cashmirwood begin to settle into the brick wall behind you. The musk is present, but it lacks a certain depth, sitting flat against the skin rather than wrapping around it. The wood feels smooth and a bit synthetic, like a polished veneer rather than a raw plank. It creates a clean, woody shelter that lacks the natural grit found in the opening rhubarb and pepper.

The composition struggles to marry the raw, herbal kick of the cannabis with the sterile, clean finish of the ambroxan. They sit side by side without truly blending, leaving a gap in the middle of the scent where a heart should be. The rice and tea try to bridge the distance, but the transition feels forced and slightly disjointed.
