Character
Snow collects on the wool of a heavy coat as a woman steps into a quiet courtyard, the cold air sharp against her skin. She pulls her scarf tighter and the warmth of her own breath meets the scent rising from her collar. Amber leads immediately, golden and resinous, wrapping around her like a second layer of fabric. Rose and iris soon appear, the flower petals dried and ground into a fine, pale dust that settles over the amber with a soft, powdery finish. There is a distinct creaminess from sandalwood that keeps the floral edge from feeling sharp, allowing the two to blend into a single, hazy cloud.
Tolu balsam adds a deep, slightly medicinal resinous weight that anchors the entire composition to her skin. Vanilla curls through the mix, rich and almost edible, but it is the musk that pulls the entire scene close, creating an intimate space within the freezing air. The amber returns in the base, darker now and mixed with the balsam, refusing to let the vanilla become too bright. It is a heavy, balsamic blanket of scent that moves with her as she walks past a row of bare trees, the powdery rose and woody depth swirling together in the draft
