Decadent Memories can feel a little crowded. With cherry, black currant, baked apple, blueberry, vanilla absolute, sandalwood, tonka bean, Virginia cedar, musk, and ambroxan all present, the blend sometimes struggles to let each element breathe. The fruity and sweet accords dominate, and the cherry note in particular pushes hard against the vanilla and powdery facets. The woody and aromatic sides are there, yet they occasionally get buried under the density of the gourmand profile. Nathalie Feisthauer composed a fragrance that clearly aims for indulgence, but the result is a scent that can read as muddled rather than layered.
This is a perfume for someone who enjoys a full, unapologetic fruit and vanilla combination and does not mind if the individual notes blur together. The powdery and woody touches add some depth, but they never fully separate from the sweetness. If you prefer a fragrance where each accord has clear space and a distinct voice, this composition may feel too busy. The sheer number of ingredients works against clarity here, leaving an impression that is rich but slightly chaotic. Decadent Memories is generous with its flavors, though it sacrifices definition in the process.
