The door to the church is open, and the air inside is cool and still. A small brazier burns near the altar, sending ribbons of incense upward where they meet the damp stone walls. Someone has placed a bowl of star anise and saffron threads nearby, their sharp, metallic edges cutting through the heavy smoke. The initial impression is bright and slightly medicinal, a crisp contrast to the shadows gathering in the corners of the room.
As the light shifts across the floor, the colder spices recede. The heart of Armònia settles into a soft, powdery texture built around iris and cinnamon. Nutmeg adds a gentle heat that feels close to the skin, blending the floral dust with a warm, dry wood. The myrrh and sandalwood in the base create a resinous, balsamic cushion that supports the entire composition. It feels like a thick wool coat draped over a wooden pew, smelling of polished timber and ancient resin.
Musk smooths the rough edges of the spices until the entire space smells of clean skin warmed by a crackling fire. The saffron remains, but it has lost its bite, now acting as a golden thread woven through the creamy sandalwood and dark myrrh. The air is thick with a quiet, amber glow, the scent of polished wood and dried flowers filling the silent chamber.
