Our take

A green floral that opens with galbanum and cassis does not try to charm a room. It steps outside. The tart bite of bergamot pulls the galbanum away from bitterness and into something bright, while the cassis adds a cool, dark fruit that keeps the start from feeling like a garden salad. This is a scent for the person who wants to smell like she has been walking through a park with damp grass and open air, not like she stopped at a perfume counter on the way.

The heart leans into lily-of-the-valley and lilac, with jasmine and rose supporting rather than leading. The flowers feel dewy and slightly stemmy, never heavy or syrup-sweet. Ramon Monegal built a composition that stays close to the skin, moving with the body instead of announcing itself from a distance. The iris in the base brings a soft, powdery texture that settles into the sandalwood and amber without turning warm or resinous.

Musk holds the structure together so that the scent remains present through a morning and into an afternoon, though it never projects beyond a quiet radius. It suits someone who values a personal atmosphere over a statement, and who finds loud sillage uncomfortable rather than impressive. Those who expect a rich, enveloping floral will find this one too restrained and too green.

Wear it while sleeves are rolled up and the light is clear, when a faint trace of petals and crushed leaves is enough to feel dressed.
