Our take

Angel by Al Haramain opens with a brisk snap of rosemary and mandarin, the galbanum adding a green, almost medicinal edge that keeps the citrus from turning into sugary juice. That aromatic clarity quickly gets dusted with nutmeg and heliotrope, a powdery, slightly lavender-tinged heart that feels like an old sachet pulled from a grandmother’s linen drawer. Eventually it settles into a soft vanilla-musk base, amber warming the edges but never pushing into heavy gourmand territory. The whole effect is like a vintage silk blouse that still smells faintly of the cedar wardrobe it was stored in, elegant and slightly formal, but also a little dated.

This is a polite fragrance, almost to a fault. The sillage is a whisper and longevity barely reaches three hours before you’re left with a skin-skimming vanilla ghost, which explains that 2.89 and 3.35 respectively. It feels natural in a clean, simple way, but the composition leans more mainstream drugstore than niche complexity. Who suits it? Someone who wants a breezy, aromatic vanilla for cool mornings or crisp indoor days, not a bomb that announces itself to a room. Who should skip? Anyone craving projection, warmth, or even a hint of sex appeal. Wear it in the dead of winter under a turtleneck, or on a spring afternoon when you want to smell clean and forgettable, reapplying every two hours. It is a decent cologne, not a perfume, and the data knows it.
