Batoul
Fragrance notes
Character
The dim lounge is quiet, lit only by the amber glow of a side lamp. Batoul enters the room on a sharp thread of saffron that cuts through the still air. It is not a loud arrival, but it carries just far enough to be noticed by the person seated nearby. Leather soon takes the lead, smooth and rich, supported by the soft grain of cashmere wood. The saffron lingers at the edges, lending a metallic sparkle that keeps the texture from feeling flat.
As the evening stretches on, the deeper materials begin to settle into the fabric of the space. Vanilla and amber rise from the base, heavy and golden, wrapping the leather in a warm, powdery blanket. The animalic accord adds a faint, lived-in roughness that stops the sweetness from becoming too polished. This foundation holds steady for hours, refusing to thin out or fade into nothing. The scent stays close to the body, creating a personal atmosphere rather than expanding to fill the entire room.
It smells like a well-worn leather chair in a wood-paneled study, the cushions soaked in years of tobacco smoke and vanilla-infused candle wax, the wood beneath it dark and silent.
