Our take

Morning sun warms the terrace tiles while a glass of iced tea sweats on the iron table. Ibisco moves through the air as Calabrian bergamot and lemon brighten the space, their clear citrus lifted by the gentle bite of Indonesian pepper and pink pepper. The spices do not sting. They add a clean, faintly aromatic edge to the opening that feels at home beside the heat rising from the stone.

Hibiscus and Moroccan jasmine unfold next, soft and slightly watery, joined by lily-of-the-valley and the green ripple of water hyacinth. The flowers read fresh rather than heavy, a pale bouquet carried through a garden where patchouli and Haitian vetiver ground the air with an earthy, woody line. White musk smooths the edges so the transition stays seamless, never sharp, never loud.

The composition stays pretty and easy to like, yet the jasmine and lily-of-the-valley lean a little synthetic against the natural citrus opening. That slight plastic edge keeps the heart from feeling fully alive, and the pepper notes vanish faster than the rest, leaving the middle slightly flat. It is a pleasant daytime companion, but the artificial floral tone may bother anyone who expects a completely natural garden scent.
