Our take

It opens with a spritz of mandarin and cassis, bright and slightly tart like the first snap of a spring day. But the sweetness is quickly tempered. Violet and tuberose take over, and this is where the fragrance reveals its true character: a powdery, almost dusty floral that feels as though you have opened a vintage powder compact left on a sunlit windowsill. The tuberose is creamy but restrained, while the violet adds a cool, green-tinged softness. Underneath, cashmeran and sandalwood wrap everything in a warm, woody haze, with vetiver grounding it just enough to keep the whole thing from floating away into mere sweetness.

This is not a loud scent. With sillage barely scraping a 3.1 and longevity around the 3.7 mark, it whispers rather than announces. That is not a flaw if you value intimacy over projection. It feels natural, almost nostalgic, like the memory of a grandmother’s garden, but with a modern polish courtesy of Dominique Ropion’s steady hand.

Who should wear it? Anyone who loves a powdery, creamy floral with a woody backbone and does not need to leave a trail. Skip it if you crave beast-mode blasts or if tuberose gives you a headache. Wear it in spring and fall, ideally during the day, though it works surprisingly well on crisp winter afternoons. A gentle, lovely thing for quiet moments.
