Orange&Litsee opens with lemon, orange, and bergamot. The citrus is bright and unpolished. It feels squeezed rather than polished, with a slight pithy edge that keeps it from settling into a smooth candy surface. The orange carries the most weight, while the lemon adds a sharp line through the center of the blend. Bergamot rounds the edges without dulling the energy.
Marjoram, artemisia, and cardamom shift the fragrance away from simple fruit. The marjoram brings a warm, slightly dusty green tone. Artemisia adds a bitter herbal touch that cuts through the remaining citrus sugar. Cardamom sits between them with a dry, lightly peppery lift that keeps the middle from feeling heavy or flat.
Basil and vetiver form the base. The basil retains a leafy, almost stem-like freshness that links back to the green opening. Vetiver grounds the composition with an earthy, root-like dryness.
