Gelsomino
Fragrance notes
Character
Gelsomino opens with a bright floral blend where jasmine and ylang-ylang lead immediately. Peach blossom adds a soft, slightly fruity edge to the top layer without turning the start sugary. The white floral character is clear from the first moment, and the yellow floral accord sits close beside it, creating a sunny and open impression that feels natural in bright surroundings.
The heart introduces orange blossom alongside cloves and carrot seeds, with coconut rounding out the center. The spices give the flowers a gentle warmth, while the coconut adds a smooth, creamy texture that keeps the floral notes from feeling sharp. Powdery facets begin to appear here, sitting quietly beneath the cream and the spice. The composition stays floral at its core, but the heart is noticeably richer than the opening.
Base notes of benzoin, sandalwood, tolu balsam, oakmoss, patchouli, and guaiac wood create a deep, amber-heavy foundation. The woodiness is steady and grounding, though the synthetic edge in the amber accord occasionally clashes with the natural floral opening. The sweetness in the base can feel heavy against the lighter petals above, and the powdery tone becomes more prominent than some wearers will want.
