Our take

Gold Energy opens with a noticeable synthetic edge that can feel sharp in the first few minutes. The white tea and osmanthus combination leans artificial rather than natural, which may put off those who prefer realistic green scents. This initial roughness is the main drawback of the composition.

The heart softens that start with orange blossom and jasmine sambac. Sandalwood enters here to add creaminess, moving the scent away from a simple floral. It becomes powdery and lactonic, with a soft spicy accord that keeps the flowers from feeling flat. The transition is smooth once the top notes settle.

Cashmeran, vanilla, and cedar form a woody amber base that feels warm without becoming heavy. The musk accord ties the layers together, and the fruity facet from the osmanthus carries through to the drydown. It suits someone who likes powdery woods and does not mind a synthetic opening.

A garden path after rain, lined with pale petals and damp cedar bark, where the air feels clean and lightly sweet.
