Our take

Caged is a daytime statement for the woman who treats a floral as a structure, not a soft blur. Tuberose and gardenia lead with a creamy weight that could easily feel heavy, but pink pepper and grapefruit slice through that richness and keep the air around it bright. Freesia adds a clean lift that stops the opening from collapsing into pure white petals. The effect is a deliberate contrast that feels intentional rather than accidental, as if the composition is holding two moods at once and refusing to choose between them.

The middle deepens that tension instead of smoothing it. Patchouli and sandalwood bring a woody, earthy base to the lily and vanilla, so the floral heart never floats without an anchor. Incense and amber in the drydown add a warm, balsamic trace that leans animalic and powdery rather than sweet. This is where the name makes sense. The flowers are not free and airy here. They are framed by resin and wood, contained but still vivid, like a garden seen through ironwork.

Wear it when you want a white floral that carries backbone and heat. It fits a morning meeting where you intend to be noticed, or a bright afternoon walk where the air is warm enough to let the amber breathe. It is for the wearer who likes tuberose but refuses to be wrapped entirely in it, and who wants the spice and wood to speak as loudly as the petals.
