Our take

Angeli di Firenze opens with a bright jab of jasmine and ylang-ylang, but cyclamen cuts through the sweetness like a cool breeze off the Arno. Then the fruit arrives, melon and peach, not lush or sun-warmed but watery, almost aquatic, as if someone dropped a sliced honeydew into a bowl of crushed ice. The iris and black currant in the heart add a faint powdery tartness that tries to ground it, but the base of white musk and vanilla flattens everything into a clean, soapy haze. The precious woods are barely a murmur. The whole thing feels like a watercolor of a Florentine garden, pretty and translucent, but the paint is thin and the paper warps after twenty minutes.

This is a fragrance that evaporates before it has a chance to offend. With a longevity of 2.35 and sillage at 1.90, it is a sheer whisper, a polite suggestion rather than a presence. That makes it ideal for a spring picnic or a breezy summer afternoon, when you want nothing more than a flicker of sweetness in the air. It suits someone who finds heavy perfumes intrusive and craves only the memory of a scent. But if you want depth, if you want your clothes to carry the story of a garden the next day, skip it. The notes are all there but they never commit, like a melody played too softly to follow. One spray and you might already be asking yourself if you imagined it.
