Patchouli Sumatra
Fragrance notes
Character
Rum and vanilla open the scent with a syrupy, sunlit warmth. The vanilla here is thick and golden, sitting on the skin like a glaze. Amber and rose follow in the heart, but the flower stays quiet while the resin does the heavy lifting. There is a brightness to this stage that feels open and exposed.
Patchouli Sumatra settles into its base with a heap of earthy leaves, dry tobacco, and soft musk. The patchouli is dark and crumbly, the tobacco is sweet rather than ashy, and the balsamic accord wraps them together. It smells expensive in a casual way, suited to someone who enjoys a bold entrance but prefers natural materials over lab-heavy sweetness.
The whole composition feels like a market stall in a warm city, where a wooden bowl is filled with vanilla pods, crushed leaves, and a small glass of dark rum.
