White Stones
Fragrance notes
Character
White Stones opens with a brisk gust of sea salt and lily-of-the-valley that feels like walking onto a sunlit dock. Elemi and coriander give the air a crisp, peppery edge that keeps the florals from feeling soft. It is a clear, outdoor start that promises something grounded rather than something pretty.
The heart moves into incense and geranium, where the smoke turns resinous instead of churchy. The geranium adds a green, slightly stern touch that stops the incense from drifting into pure atmosphere. It carries a clean, aromatic tension that suits a bright morning with nothing scheduled.
The drydown is where the composition does its real work. Balsam fir and myrrh create a resinous, conifer-rich base that feels like dried sap on sun-warmed wood. Musk smooths the edges while leather adds a dry, slightly rough texture that keeps the resins from becoming too sweet. It smells like stone and forest meeting at the waterline.
The limitation here is the leather and myrrh can feel a bit synthetic compared to the natural lift of the opening. On skin that runs warm, that resinous base sometimes reads more like a candle than a personal scent, which narrows who will enjoy wearing it.
