Our take

Sunlight hits the stone terrace and a bowl of raspberries sits within reach, their leaves still attached and faintly green. A slice of bergamot peel rests on the rim of a glass, bright and sharp against the warm air. The scent arrives before the first sip, soft and layered, as rose opens in two forms at once, Turkish and Bulgarian, each distinct, one heavier and the other more transparent. Geranium adds a clean edge while rhubarb pulls the flowers toward something tart and edible. It is not a single bloom arranged in a vase but a garden caught in motion, stems and petals and fruit sharing the same space without competing. Benzoin brings a resinous warmth that settles below the flowers, and patchouli grounds the scene with earth that feels dry rather than damp. Ambroxan lifts the entire composition so it hovers instead of clinging, and musk smooths every edge until the air feels composed rather than crowded, the kind of morning where the air itself seems arranged by someone who understands how rose behaves when it is given room to breathe and a little fruit to keep it from folding into itself too neatly, the resin beginning to rise as the citrus recedes and the petals continue to open under a sky that has not yet decided how warm the day will become, the rhubarb still visible in the background like a thread pulled through fabric that was never meant to be plain or static, the benzoin quietly deepening the hollows while the ambroxan keeps the highest points in view and the musk carries the last trace of movement across the stone
