Caspian Sea
Fragrance notes
Character
Caspian Sea by YANI opens with a sharp saline spray that sits beside bright mandarin orange and bergamot. Red apple adds a crisp, juicy facet that keeps the start from feeling strictly mineral. The citrus is clean and immediate, while the sea water note provides a cool, slightly metallic edge that cuts through the fruit. It feels active and outdoors, suited to warm air and open space.
The heart introduces rose alongside Amalfi lemon and cardamom. The lemon continues the bright opening, while cardamom brings a warm, slightly spicy texture that grounds the floral element. The rose here is not heavy or perfumed. It sits lightly among the citrus and spice, adding a soft petal quality without turning the blend powdery. The aromatic accord stays prominent, carrying the fragrance through its middle phase with a clean, herbal lift.
Tobacco and oak form the base, with the tobacco lending a dry, slightly sweet leafiness and the oak contributing a firm woody backbone. The sweetness from the earlier fruit lingers just enough to round the tobacco, while the salty thread from the top notes resurfaces beneath the wood. It remains crisp and aromatic rather than dark or heavy, holding onto the clear, open air of the opening as the rose and spice fade into the dry, woody finish.
