The first spray of Bit Bit by Agar Olfactory feels like a gamble that might not pay off. You stand in a damp garden after rain, brushing past a row of lettuces that have just been pulled from the earth. The opening is aggressively soil-driven, a gritty dirt note that smells exactly like wet clay clinging to roots. It is a stark, mineral introduction that lacks the polish of a traditional perfume, presenting a raw, unwashed greenness that can feel abrasive to anyone expecting a clean floral.
As the scent settles into the air around you, the sharpness of the dirt softens into the herbal heart of mugwort. The atmosphere becomes thick with an anis accord, a fresh spicy and soft spicy tension that cuts through the heavy green.
