Black pepper and nutmeg give a quiet lift, while earthy patchouli and carrot add a grounded, slightly bitter depth. It feels personal and composed, never loud or overwrought.
Elemi and frankincense introduce a resinous brightness that avoids sharpness. Labdanum and vetiver pull the scent toward something darker and more rooted, like warm stone or dry soil after rain. Cumin appears in small measure, adding a skin-like warmth that keeps the blend from feeling polished or safe. The result is textured and slightly raw.
