Oudh No.1
Fragrance notes
Character
A low table holds a brass tray of dark coffee and cardamom pods. Someone strikes a match and the air shifts. Ginger sparks first, bright and abrupt, followed by pink pepper that pricks the senses without overwhelming them. The room is small and the walls are close, lit only by a single hanging lamp that throws a warm circle onto the floor.
Frankincense begins to curl upward, resinous and dry, wrapping around a rose that feels more shadow than petal. Leather sits beneath it, smooth and faintly worn, like the surface of an old chair. The base settles in with weight. Oud rises alongside myrrh and benzoin, their balsamic warmth folding into patchouli that grounds the entire space. The spices linger at the edges, but the resins take over, filling the quiet with amber depth and a dry, sacred stillness.
The lamp flickers once and the shadows stretch across the room, carrying the scent of oud and frankincense into the corners where the light cannot reach, the air thick with resin and the faint creak of leather.
