Merine

Merine opens with bright orange and lemon that feel sunlit and immediate. The citrus is clean rather than sharp, and it moves quickly into a heart where rose and saffron add a soft, slightly spiced floral layer. Ambroxan and patchouli in the base pull the composition toward something warmer and more mineral, but the marine and salty accords keep it tethered to open air. It smells like standing near water when the light is clear and the air carries a faint mineral dryness. The overall impression is amber and woody with a musky, aromatic finish that stays smooth rather than heavy.

Moudon keeps the blend modern and versatile, so it works as easily with casual clothes as it does with a linen shirt on a warm afternoon. The citrus and aquatic notes give it a refreshing character, while the amber and woody base add just enough depth to keep it from feeling thin. The limitation is that the saffron and rose never fully assert themselves, so the heart can read a bit indistinct next to the clearer citrus and marine edges.
