Vibrato opens on grapefruit and bergamot, sharp and citrus-bright, with jasmine and magnolia moving in almost immediately for a soft, white-floral lift alongside the citrus. Ginger adds a warm, spiced pulse to the heart, and a cluster of herbal and powdery notes rounds out the transition, several ideas overlapping at once, which is presumably where the musical name comes from. The citrus and jasmine stay blended together throughout, rarely stepping forward one at a time.
Musk, cedar, amber, orris root, and patchouli fill out the base, woody with a green edge, and the whole thing settles in and holds firm long after the citrus fades. The transition from citrus top to woody base happens gradually, with the herbal, powdery notes acting as a bridge the whole way through. Only a modest amount escapes the skin, easy to notice up close without carrying much further than that. Christian Provenzano built this around bright citrus and clean wood, best suited to the warmer months when the grapefruit and bergamot up top have real room to shine, an easygoing daytime fragrance rather than a heavy evening one.
