Lake of Echoes
Fragrance notes
Character
Mushroom opens the door here, damp and quiet, followed quickly by pine and a thin curl of frankincense. It smells like standing in a forest where the air is cool and the ground stays wet long after rain. Cedar and patchouli deepen that impression, while orris adds a soft, powdery layer that keeps the woods from feeling too rugged.
Amber and labdanum bring warmth, but the oakmoss pulls everything back toward the earth. The animalic edge is present without becoming loud, and the overall impression stays mossy and grounded. This is not a bright or sunny scent. It feels shadowed and still, suited to someone who wants a fragrance that disappears into the background rather than decorating it.
The orris and amber try to smooth the sharper edges, though the mushroom note can read more medicinal than natural on certain skin. It is an unusual choice that will not sit well with everyone, and the powdery dryness may feel flat if you prefer clean or citrus-driven compositions.
