Our take

Licorice and vetiver sit together here, the root’s earthy grit rubbing against the cool, anise bite. Citruses flash briefly before oakmoss and cypriol pull the scent into shaded, mossy ground. Ylang-ylang adds a soft floral curve, while labdanum and amber lend a resinous weight that feels dense on the skin. Patchouli deepens the green edges, keeping the profile rooted in forest floor rather than polished wood. The blend feels composed, not accidental, with each element holding its place instead of fighting for attention.

The later stages grow darker and more resinous, as labdanum and patchouli take a firmer hold. Vetiver’s dry, smoky earthiness lingers through cooler air, supported by amber’s steady warmth. Licorice remains present but quieter, now woven through oakmoss and cypriol instead of leading. It suits a dimly lit street after rain, when the air smells of wet soil and stone. The scent stays near the body, moving with you rather than announcing itself across a space. It rewards close notice, revealing new facets the longer it rests. Woody, mossy, anis.
