The heart wraps Bulgarian rose around nutmeg, that warm spice pulling the flower from dewy romance into something ritualistic, almost ceremonial. As it settles, the base reveals a leathery, oud-infused amber with tonka and cedar smoothing the edges into a rich, semi-sweet blanket. This is the scent of a velvet-lined sarcophagus: opulent, ancient, and just a little suffocating.
For a fragrance so dense with amber and oud, the projection is surprisingly polite. The sillage sits close, hovering at a wrist’s length, and longevity hovers around the six-hour mark, which feels modest for such a heavy composition. It leans synthetic in its saffron opening, but the drydown is plush and naturalistic, a pleasant paradox.
