This intensity is not for everyone, as the cloves and coriander sit close to the skin with a medicinal sharpness before the florals attempt to soften the edges.
Jasmine and tuberose eventually rise through the spice, but they feel thick rather than airy, merging with the Turkish rose to form a lush, dark bouquet. The base is a massive collection of woods and resins where oud and myrrh dominate, supported by the sticky sweetness of benzoin and labdanum.
