Saffron opens the composition with a metallic, golden edge that immediately signals the weight of what follows. Ivy adds a green, slightly bitter lift that keeps the spice from feeling flat, while champaca brings a rich, fruity floral tone that bridges the gap between the sharp top and the dense heart. The transition is smooth and deliberate, moving from bright and pungent to something far more rounded.
The heart centers on two distinct rose varieties. Damask rose provides a classic, deep floral sweetness, while Taif rose introduces a sharper, more dew-like freshness. Jasmine sambac sits underneath, adding a creamy, indolic thickness that pushes the floral accord toward heavy rather than airy. Together, these flowers create a lavish middle that feels traditional and opulent.
The base is where the fragrance settles into its true identity. Oud provides a dark, resinous woodiness that anchors the entire structure. Castoreum and ambergris add a deep, animalic warmth, while frankincense and labdanum contribute a resinous, church-like smoke. Patchouli grounds the blend with earthy density.
