Our take

Wild Neroli struggles with a synthetic edge that never quite disappears. The ambergris and neroli sit together in a way that feels slightly plastic, as though the flower has been dipped in resin rather than growing beside the sea. Verbena and Sicilian bergamot add a sharp brightness that cuts through, but the grapefruit carries a candied quality that leans artificial next to the aromatic herbs. You stand on a sunlit terrace above a coastal road, the air warm and dry, with the ocean visible far below. A glass of cold water rests on the stone railing beside you. The scent surrounds you in that space, citrus and amber mixing with the heat rising from the ground, the animalic note adding a faint skin-like warmth to the breeze moving across the terrace. It feels modern and loud rather than quiet and natural, a composition that wants to be noticed in the open air. The synthetic character remains present from the first moment to the last, never softening into something smoother. It limits how often the fragrance feels comfortable to wear, especially when you want something that smells closer to the plant itself. If the materials felt more lived in and less polished, the balance would work. As it stands, the plastic trace keeps it from being a reliable choice for anyone who values a natural citrus aroma.
