Our take

Dieciocho opens with a burst of citrus so bright it's almost abrasive, but the gardenia swoops in to soften the edges, turning that initial jolt into something creamy and sun-drenched. The tangerine and orange don't linger long; they're just the spark that ignites the real show. Within minutes, the heart blooms into a thick, syrupy honey cut with orange blossom and a peach so ripe it’s practically bruised. This is not a shy floral. It's a loud, unabashed gourmand that pivots hard into animalic territory as the beeswax and patchouli rise from the base, wrapping the caramel sweetness in a dirty, skin-like warmth. The whole thing smells like a jar of honey left open on a dusty summer windowsill, bees buzzing drunk around it, the fruit rotting sweet in the heat.

The projection is modest, hovering close to the skin, and longevity taps out around four hours before fading into a soft, waxy musk. That low sillage and moderate staying power mean it won't overwhelm a room, but you'll need to reapply if you want it to last through dinner. It reads more indie than mainstream, with a synthetic edge to the honey that keeps it from being photorealistic. This is a perfume for someone who wants to smell edible but not innocent, who enjoys a little grime under the sweetness. Skip it if you prefer airy florals or crisp citruses, because Dieciocho is a heavy, sticky affair best worn on cold winter afternoons when a coat traps the scent against your skin and the world outside smells like frost and bare branches.
