Our take

Truffle is an odd note to build a floral around, earthy and faintly mushroomy against bergamot, and it gives Valentina a strange, slightly dirty opening before the flowers take hold. Strawberry sweetens the transition into a heart of jasmine, tuberose and African orange flower, heady and rich the way tuberose usually is when given room to breathe.

Vanille, amber and Virginia cedar settle underneath, warm and a touch animalic, giving the base a skin-like depth beneath all that white flower. It leans toward evenings out, dinner reservations, somewhere dressed up more than a desk. Bergamot at the top is easy to lose once the tuberose opens fully, so it rewards attention early on.

Wear time doesn't rush off but doesn't dig in either, clear enough to register without turning into a fixture on the skin. What it throws is a small halo of heat, the kind a dance partner would notice long before anyone else in the room does. Tuberose lovers who want the flower pushed hard and unapologetically will find plenty here, while anyone sensitive to heady white florals in general may want to sample a small amount first, since the truffle only adds to that intensity.
