Joie-Eclat
Fragrance notes
Character
Joie-Eclat opens with a brisk citrus mix. Grapefruit and mandarin orange lead, bright and slightly tart, while cardamom adds a gentle lift that keeps the start from feeling flat. The opening feels clean and awake, suitable for a warm morning outdoors.
The heart brings tuberose and jasmine forward. The white flowers are present but not heavy, and the cypress leaf keeps the air around them cool. This part of the scent stays near the skin, moving with you rather than projecting outward as the day goes on.
Vetiver and white woods form a dry base that supports the florals without taking over. The woods give the blend a steady backbone, and the vetiver adds a faint earthy edge. The scent holds its shape for a reasonable span before the notes begin to soften and blend together.
The composition stays polite throughout. One drawback is that the cardamom and cypress can read as a touch sharp against the creamier flowers, creating a small friction in the middle that some will notice more than others.
