A Thousand Layers
Fragrance notes
Character
A Thousand Layers arrives with a heavy hand. The opening orange and lemon feel pressed too hard, their bright oils leaning sharp and almost abrasive against the skin. It is a loud start that threatens to tip the whole composition into an unbalanced, cloying excess before the first minute passes.
You are standing in a sunlit courtyard where the air is cool but the stone walls hold the day's warmth. Inside this space, the sharp citrus softens into a table set with puff pastry, honey, and crushed pistachio, the may rose adding a soft floral dust to the nuts and bran. Peru balsam, frankincense, and cinnamon wrap the scene in a woody, balsamic smoke, while oakmoss and vetiver ground the sweetness with an earthy, powdery depth. The mimosa and immortelle glow like late afternoon light hitting a wooden table, and the amber, musk, and sandalwood settle the room into a quiet, aromatic stillness.
