Our take

Vidi opens with a surprising pinch of cardamom and a cool slice of cucumber, an odd couple that somehow works – the spice bites just enough to keep the watery freshness from washing away completely. A saffron-rose heart blooms with a slightly metallic edge, thanks to cyclamen, before the base settles into a warm, fuzzy musk laced with immortelle’s maple-syrup honey and a dusting of vanilla over woody ambergris. The overall effect is like stepping out of a steam-filled shower into a sunlit greenhouse: humid, sweet, and slightly medicinal, but never cloying. This is clearly niche in its willingness to pair cucumber with saffron, yet it wears mainstream-light, with moderate longevity (3.74) and a sillage that stays close to the skin (3.33). It shines brightest in spring and summer, making it a perfect daytime scent for someone who wants to smell clean but not soapy, fresh but with an undercurrent of warmth. If you crave dark leathers or cavernous ouds, skip it – this one floats on air. The only weakness is that its aquatic-ozonic accord can feel a bit synthetic in the mid-heart, and the drydown fades faster than you’d hope. Wear it for brunch in the sun or a lazy afternoon by the water.
