Our take

Rouge fits a man who spends the morning outdoors and keeps a jacket on the passenger seat. It is built for bright conditions where a crisp outline matters more than a heavy trail. The person who reaches for it wants something present without occupying the whole sidewalk.

Lavender opens first, green and clean, joined quickly by oakmoss that pulls the opening toward a damp, shaded garden. Pepper and nutmeg step in soon after, adding a dry heat that keeps the lavender from feeling soft. The Granny Smith apple adds a tart snap that brightens the spices and keeps the early stage lively.

Virginia cedar anchors the later hours with a dry wood that sits comfortably against the skin. Amber and vanilla follow, but they stay quiet, offering a little warmth without turning the blend sweet. The spices linger longer than the fruit, and the mossy edge remains visible through the drydown.

The composition stays close enough that only someone near you catches the lavender and cedar as they move together. It carries through a morning without needing another spray, then steps back at the right moment. The amber accord is the last thing you notice before it fades.
