Our take

For Him opens with a surprisingly tart burst of blackberry and pomelo, the rum note adding a boozy shimmer that promises more than it delivers. Pear sweetens the edges without making things cloying, and the first ten minutes are genuinely intriguing. Then the saffron and cinnamon creep in, warm and slightly powdery, with orris root smoothing the transition toward the base. Here is where the fragrance finds its footing: a soft leather and suede accord, not aggressive, backed by oakmoss and vetyver that feel earthy and grounded.

This is a scent that behaves like a worn leather jacket at a late September county fair, comfortable against the skin but never demanding attention. It leans synthetic in a polished, mainstream way, not offensive, just familiar. The problem is performance. Longevity hovers around three hours, sillage barely reaches a handshake distance. You get a lovely, warm spice and leather bubble, then it evaporates. That makes it ideal for daytime errands, casual coffee runs, or a lazy Sunday afternoon in fall or winter when you want something cozy without overwhelming a room. It suits men who prefer subtlety over projection and who reapply gladly. Skip it if you crave presence or need a fragrance to last through a full workday. For all its appealing structure, this is a ghost of a scent, pleasant but fleeting, more whisper than statement.
