Orange blossom and anise open the door with a bright, slightly herbal lift that feels like stepping into a sunlit courtyard where stone walls hold the heat of the morning. The anise is gentle, more of a cool breath than a bite, and it gives way quickly to a heart that is crowded with lilac, hyacinth, orchid, and jasmine. Apple and peach add a soft succulence that keeps the flowers from turning sharp. This is not a heavy bouquet. It stays airy and transparent, the kind of scent that suits a linen dress and a table set under an awning, where a breeze moves through the glasses and the air smells of blossoms and ripe fruit rather than perfume.
The drydown is where the character settles. Cedar, patchouli, and sandalwood arrive with a creamy woodiness that grounds the florals without dimming them. The cedar keeps it dry, the sandalwood adds a smooth roundness, and the patchouli lends a faint earthy edge that stops the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. Powdery and green facets drift through, giving the impression of petals that have fallen onto a wooden bench. The limitation here is the anise. It is a lovely accent at first, but it never fully integrates, and the way it hovers above the rest of the composition can feel slightly disjointed once the woods take hold.
