Oud and musk take over the center with a smooth, animalic weight. The oud here is prominent and leans into a medicinal sharpness rather than a rounded sweetness, supported by a musky base that feels synthetic and thick. Vetiver and ambergris anchor the finish with an earthy, salty dryness that keeps the composition grounded.

The overall character is woody and warm spicy, fitting for cold air and low light. It suits a quiet evening outdoors or a dim room where the scent can sit close without competing. The mood is serious and a bit severe, built for someone who wants oud without floral or citrus distractions. It feels more at home in a private setting than in a busy office, where the intensity might feel out of place. The aromatic and fresh spicy accords are present but secondary to the wood.

The synthetic musk is the clear limitation here. It lacks the natural lift that would make the oud feel balanced, leaving a flat texture in the drydown. The saffron also reads a bit sharp and one-dimensional after the first hour. For a 2023 release, the blend does not offer much development beyond its core notes, making it feel somewhat static on the skin.
