Our take

Boston hits the nose with a sharp citrus snap. Grapefruit and bergamot lead, cooled by mint and lifted by thyme and basil. The opening feels brisk and upright, like a morning walk through a damp garden. It does not lean sweet. The herbs keep it dry and clean, steering the scent away from anything tropical or casual.

The middle layer brings pine needles and green apple alongside lavender, geranium, jasmine, sage, and cloves. The pine and apple give it a crisp, forest-adjacent character, while the lavender and jasmine soften the edges without turning powdery. Clove and sage add a warm, slightly rough texture. It smells like a well-kept backyard after rain, with wet soil and crushed leaves underfoot.

Patchouli, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood, balsam fir, suede, and musk form a base that stays close to the skin and feels grounded. The suede adds a faint roughness that keeps the woods from smelling polished. Boston works best on a man who spends time outdoors and prefers a scent that smells like nature rather than a product. Wear it on a cool spring day.
