Our take

A Marni release that opens with raspberry and almond does not hide its sweetness. The fruit arrives first, soft and slightly powdery, with the almond giving it a round, almost creamy edge. It is not a sharp candy scent. The cardamom and mint sit quietly underneath, adding a cool lift that keeps the opening from feeling heavy. You notice the spice more as a texture than a flavor, a faint bite that makes the fruit feel fresh rather than sticky.

Rose takes over without waiting for the fruit to leave. Two forms of the flower sit together here, one deep and waxy, the other lighter and more transparent. Violet adds a gentle purple haze that pulls the floral heart toward something shaded and slightly dusty. The vanilla in the base does not dominate. It warms the petals and smooths the edges so the transition feels seamless. Cedar and patchouli give the flowers a dry, woody floor to rest on, preventing the blend from drifting into a standard floral bouquet.

This is a scent for a wool coat and a scarf, for walking outside when the air has a bite and the sky stays grey. The musk wraps everything in a clean, close layer that feels personal rather than loud. It suits someone who likes a rose that carries wood and spice instead of pure dew. The powdery accord lingers in the fabric, a soft reminder of the vanilla and the violet long after the first spray.
