Billion Dollar Oud
Fragrance notes
Character
Saffron and pink pepper open the fragrance with a sharp, metallic heat. Nutmeg adds a dusty, dry edge that keeps the spices from feeling bright. The initial spray feels brisk and a bit austere, more focused on the pepper than the sweetness that follows.
Caramel arrives in the heart and immediately changes the mood. It is thick and syrupy, coating the spices in a heavy sugar glaze. Cashmeran adds a smooth, synthetic woodiness that rounds out the center, while akigalawood bridges the gap toward the heavier materials waiting below. The transition feels like walking from a cold street into a room filled with heated desserts and polished wood furniture.
The base is where Billion Dollar Oud settles into its true identity. Vanilla and amber create a resinous, golden blanket that sits close to the skin. Oud provides a dark, medicinal woodiness that cuts through the sugar, preventing the caramel from becoming too much. The powdery accord mixes with the musky drydown to create a soft, almost velvet-like texture. It fits a dimly lit evening where the air is cool outside but heavy with warmth indoors, the scent lingering in the folds of a wool coat
