Our take

Lait de Vanille opens with a blast of condensed milk sweetness, thick and unabashedly synthetic in the way a sugared cereal dream is synthetic. The Caramel note hits immediately, sticky and glossy, before the Benzoin settles in to dust everything with a faintly medicinal powder. What this becomes, after fifteen minutes, is the olfactory equivalent of a half-melted vanilla bean ice cream cone left on a radiator, sweet, balsamic, and vaguely waxy. The Vanilla itself is not the deep, boozy bourbon kind but a high-pitched, candied extract note, and the whole structure leans hard into the Oriental vanilla accord without any sharp edges to break the monotony.

This is a one-note lullaby with a short blanket. Longevity barely scratches three hours on skin, and sillage is a polite whisper, you will smell it only if you press your nose to your wrist. That makes it a quiet companion for winter afternoons or chilly fall mornings, best worn when you want a private hug of sweetness rather than a public announcement. It suits anyone who craves straightforward gourmand comfort and has no patience for intrigue. Skip it if you expect a perfume to perform, to bloom, or to surprise you in the drydown. This is a milk tooth, not a fang. Wear it to bed, to a coffee shop on a gray day, or as a skin scent under a heavy sweater. But do not ask it to travel far or stay long, it will let you down before the bus arrives.
