Our take

The first spray is a bowl of sliced orange and tangerine that sits on a kitchen table next to a basket of peaches and fresh strawberries. It is bright and loud, the kind of entrance that makes you pause in the doorway because the air suddenly smells like someone started prep work for a fruit tart. The peach adds a soft fuzz to the edges of the citrus, while the strawberry leans into the sweet accord that runs through the whole composition. This is not a shy introduction. It announces itself with a grin, then immediately hands the room over to the flowers waiting in the wings.

Rose and jasmine take over without washing away the juice that came before them. The white floral accord keeps the heart airy, but the rose pulls it toward something more traditional, almost like a pressed powder compact that accidentally rolled into a bowl of fruit. There is a clean, aromatic lift here that stops the sweetness from feeling heavy, and the flowers give the scent a shape that the opening notes alone would lack. It feels put together, the work of Roberto Dario, who clearly wanted the fruit and the petals to share the same space rather than take turns.

Vetiver and musk anchor the bottom, adding a woody and earthy foundation that keeps the entire structure from floating away. The musk turns the powdery accord into something that sits close to the skin, while the vetiver provides a green, slightly dirty edge that grounds the sweetness in something real. Picture a walk through a garden path after a rain shower when the air is cool enough to see your breath, surrounded by damp soil and late blooms that refuse to quit. The fruit is still there, now softened by the damp earth and the quiet musk, lingering near the collar of a wool coat as the day continues
