Keman
Fragrance notes
Character
Keman opens with a bright floral mix of rose, geranium, jasmine, and tansy. The rose and jasmine provide a soft, classic floral presence, while geranium adds a green, slightly minty edge. Tansy brings a bitter, herbal touch that keeps the flowers from feeling overly sweet. This stage feels fresh and aromatic, leaning into the green side of the composition.
The heart introduces shiso, yuzu, and cherry blossom. Yuzu offers a sharp, zesty citrus that cuts through the florals, while shiso contributes a leafy, herbal greenness. Cherry blossom adds a light, powdery floral layer that bridges the opening and the base. The transition moves the scent from bright and floral to a cooler, greener profile with a distinct citrus bite.
Cypress and oud form the base, with cypress lending a dry, coniferous woodiness and oud providing a deep, resinous foundation. The oud here is not overwhelming, but it adds a heavy, slightly medicinal weight that grounds the lighter top and heart notes. The overall feel is fresh, spicy, and woody. It suits a walk through a garden when the air is warm and the light is clear. The oud can feel slightly rough and synthetic against the delicate florals.
