Our take

Acqua Tempesta No. 3 opens with a slap of salt spray and raw marijuana leaf, a green and gritty blast that feels less like a beach and more like a fisherman’s shack hidden among coastal cannabis fields. The mint sneaks in cool and crisp, but the olibanum and elemi keep things resinous, almost sticky. This is not a clean marine scent. It’s the sour-sweet funk of tidal flats at low tide, with a barnacle-encrusted rock jutting out of the foam. The hedione adds a watery shimmer, but the Haitian vetiver and cedar in the base dry everything into a dusty, woody bitterness that lingers for about four hours before fading into a skin scent.

With a longevity rating just above three and sillage barely hugging three, this is a short-lived affair, more of a splash than a wave. It feels deliberately natural, slightly synthetic in the cannabis accord, and defiantly niche in its refusal to please. It suits the person who wants to smell like a wet botanical garden after a storm, not the crowd craving cozy sweetness or loud projection. If you expect compliments or performance, skip it.

Wear it on a warm, overcast spring afternoon when the air feels thick with pollen and salt, or on a summer evening that never really cools down. It’s a daytime fragrance, best for solitary walks or close conversation. Is there a better way to smell like a secret tide pool that nobody else knows about? Probably not.
