Character
Bergamot and bright citruses lead the opening with a clean, immediate lift. Jasmine sits beside them, soft rather than heady. Rose and violet form the heart, with the violet adding a powdery touch that keeps the rose from dominating. The base is a dense mix of amberwood, ambergris, musk, vanilla, and tonka bean, rounded out by iris. The vanilla and tonka bean bring a smooth sweetness that stays close to the skin.
The iris in the base gives the blend a dry, root-like edge that balances the sugar. It feels composed by Oleg Grabchuk to sit between a floral and an oriental without fully committing to either. The powdery accord is present throughout, never overwhelming but always there. It suits someone who likes rose but wants it wrapped in something warmer and a bit more complex.
