Our take

Oud Cachemire opens with a sharp cinnamon and nutmeg dust that feels a touch abrasive, almost scratching the nose before the sweeter elements arrive. The bergamot tries to lift the spice, but the initial impression is dry and slightly harsh, lacking the smooth welcome one expects from a luxe unisex scent.

Dates and praline soon wrap the sharp edges in a thick, sticky syrup. The tuberose adds a creamy floral weight that pushes the fragrance firmly into gourmand territory. It is a heavy, golden moment, like standing in a dimly lit study where a bowl of spiced dried fruit sits next to an open jar of amber resin.

The base settles into a deep balsamic cloud of myrrh, benzoin, and vanilla. Akigalawood provides a woody, slightly metallic oud impression that anchors the sugary tonka and amber. The air becomes warm and aromatic, a dense blend of churchy incense and candy that feels opulent yet undeniably rich.

That richness is the trap. The proximity of the heavy dates and the potent tuberose can feel overwhelming, bordering on cloying for anyone sensitive to intense sweetness. It is a beautiful, heavy cloak of spice and resin, but it demands a tolerance for a very specific, unapologetically syrupy kind of opulence.
