Red rose and black rose open together, vivid and slightly wine-dark, before the oud moves in with a dry, resinous weight. The beeswax adds a golden, honeyed roundness that keeps the flowers from feeling thin, yet the animalic accord underneath is unmistakable. This is not a clean, polite rose. It is thick, slightly feral, and unapologetically heavy, leaning into the darker side of the accord list with a warmth that feels physical.
Fresh spicy touches flicker through the heart, but they never brighten the composition enough to lift the density. The oud here smells real rather than polished, with a woody bitterness that grounds the petals instead of letting them float. Honey lingers in the background, not as a dessert note but as a sticky, slightly raw sweetness that clings to the rose like resin to bark. It suits cooler weather and formal settings where a bold statement is welcome.
The limitation is the animalic edge. It is persistent and unrefined, and it will bother anyone who prefers their florals clean and modern. The beeswax adds comfort, but the overall impression stays wild and slightly rough. If you want a rose that behaves, this is not it.
