Ambre Extrême opens with a crisp red apple note that feels bright and lightly tart. Bergamot adds a clean citrus edge that lifts the fruit without turning sharp. The start is straightforward and does not try to surprise. It moves forward quickly and gives way to the middle layer without much delay.
Amber takes over with a warm, resinous presence that feels smooth and rounded. Iris brings a powdery softness that sits close to the amber and keeps the texture dry rather than oily. The heart feels steady and composed, with the two notes blending into a single, golden tone that carries the fragrance through its middle phase.
Patchouli anchors the base with an earthy depth that feels grounded and slightly dark. Tonka bean adds a sweet, vanilla-like warmth that rounds out the edges and keeps the patchouli from feeling too dry. The drydown stays close to the skin and feels cohesive, with amber lingering beneath the woody earthiness. It is a thick slice of fruit cake left on a wool coat.
