Our take

Versilia Platinum opens with a sharp, sparkling lift of bergamot and grapefruit, immediately joined by the dry bite of pepper and pink pepper. A faint resinous edge from myrrh stops the citrus from feeling bright or transparent. The heart settles into a cool, slightly powdery floral blend where freesia and magnolia meet rose and lily-of-the-valley, while geranium keeps the flowers from turning soft or romantic. It smells like a manicured garden near the sea, green and expensive. The base is dense and persistent, built on vetiver, incense, and virginia cedar, with oakmoss and patchouli adding an earthy, slightly bitter depth. Immortelle and vanilla round it out, never sweet enough to read as gourmand, but warm enough to keep the base from turning cold. On skin, the sillage stays present for hours, and the scent does not fade quietly or quickly. Someone who expects a light, easygoing summer citrus will find it heavy and far too formal. It fits a man who dresses with intention and does not mind standing out in a room. Wear it on a cool evening, to a dinner where the lights are low and the table is set properly.
